Task: Generating creative ideas (brainstorming and analysing ideas)
Instructions:
1. Use the Internet and previous lesson on materials to research different options for the robot profile sheets. .
2. Use the robot profile sheets (individual task) to develop at least 3 different possible robot designs (profiles) for their final group robot. Sketch and complete profile detail (such as method of movement, materials used for actual robot etc.) Research possible options
2. Discuss with group members advantages and disadvantages for each person's robot profile
3. Group decides which profile to build and justifies their selection based on provided criteria. Making any modifications as required to individual's profiles.
4. Time allocated to complete this lesson next lesson.

Syllabus outcomes:
4.2.2 selects, analyses, presents and applies research and experimentation from a variety of sources
4.2.1 generates and communicates creative design ideas and solutions
4.6.1 applies appropriate evaluation techniques throughout each design project
MA4-1WM Communicates and connects mathematical ideas using appropriate terminology, diagrams and symbols
MA4-3WM Recognises and explains mathematical relationships using reasoning
MA3-14MG Identifies three-dimensional objects, including prisms and pyramids, on the basis of their properties, and visualises, sketches and constructs them given drawings of different views
SC4-5WS collaboratively and individually produces a plan to investigate questions and problems
